About Us

KRC was founded in 1996 with a mission of improving lives through meaningful development programs as defined by the people in broad participatory processes. Over the years, KRC programs have directly impacted lives in hundred thousands across the region and continue to raise the bar for better living. Currently, KRC seeks to bolster these achievements by getting the regional perspective permeate the thinking of the key actors in the region, particularly the leadership. The main idea KRC is working around is better coordination in the region and better use of each other’s merits. The local political and technical leadership, Mountains of the Moon University and participating NGOs and private sector are some of the groups which make the convergence code named the Rwenzori think tank. The Think Tank is central to KRC’s strategic direction as KRC aspires to champion a more coordinated approach towards development spending in the region.
